LORAX (ASYNC SOFTWARE) is an AI girlfriend chat app emphasizing 'characters have their own days'. Each character has an independent schedule and life line, proactively messaging you at their own time and bringing up topics; it supports three-layer memory, group chat and live interaction. Users buy Credits to unlock photos and 'meet' more characters (about 130–350 characters). Free chat is limited; Premium Weekly $9.99 / Monthly $29.99 / Yearly $99.99. Currently iPhone-only, with no voice/video callback (users can send voice notes and video). Content rated 17+/18+. App Store rating 4.69 (35 reviews, early stage).
Background
LORAX is developed by Turkey-based ASYNC SOFTWARE, listed on the App Store in 2025 and still updating (a release in Sep 2026) with 35 ratings (4.69, early stage).
Technology
A per-character schedule engine drives proactive messages; three-layer memory persists across sessions; group chat and live broaden interaction; Credits virtual currency unlocks content.
Market
Clearly differentiates with 'characters have their own days and reach out first' — genuinely proactive companionship rather than passive replies; currently iPhone-only with a small scale.
Best For
Users who like the 'character reaches out first' immersionPeople wanting group chat and live interactionUsers who prefer scheduled character settings
Editorial Note
Proactive character messages and scheduled settings are a real differentiator; but iPhone-only, pricing is high and scale is small.

- + Three-layer memory + group/live chat
- + High 4.69 rating
Drawbacks
