About This Tool
Waifu Chat (Waifu AI Chat) is an anime-style AI girlfriend chat app by MACHAAO Inc. Features include hand-crafted characters—each with a distinct personality, backstory, interests, and communication style; persistent memory—your companion remembers past conversations, shared moments, your preferences, and details, deepening the bond over time; interactive storytelling—branching narratives shaped by your choices toward unique endings; and AI-generated images—share a photo and receive companion images tailored to the conversation. There is also rich roleplay (companions naturally adopt outfits, settings, moods, and actions), a Karma & streak system (daily engagement rewards, streaks unlock higher daily limits), cross-character profiles (your preferences carry to every new companion), and gift-sending. The team emphasizes private, encrypted conversations. Launched Feb 2024 with about 4,297 ratings (~4.6 stars); 17+.
